Performance Testing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Performance Testing Engineer to join a Dublin-based team. This role focuses on ensuring cloud-native applications deliver top performance, scalability, and reliability within an Agile environment. 8-month day rate contract.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute performance test strategies for cloud-native applications.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and automate performance workflows.
• Build scalable, high-performance solutions and optimize application performance.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
• Use tools such as JMeter, JMH, Dynatrace, or similar for benchmarking and monitoring.
• Lead performance engineering initiatives and define benchmarks.

Required Experience:

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, JMH).
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and containerization (PaaS) knowledge.
• Microservices and messaging platforms experience (e.g., NATS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics).
• Ability to build performance automation frameworks and troubleshoot production issues.
• Preferred: Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), real-time applications, code quality tools.
